My Dad is my main person - but my mom is trained to wait on me as well. He buys me all kinds of toys and cat things. He bought an expensive scratching post with a perch on top when I was a kitten, but I let the other 2 cats have it because it wasn't good enough for my royalty. I instead have my own chair that I have deigned as my *throne*. I sit on it and look down upon my subjects. I make my dad pay attention to me as soon as he gets home from work, before he can speak to anyone else.

Acat: I was found in a parking lot, hungry and scared. Fleas had caused me to lose most of my hair from my shoulders up. A nice lady took me home, bathed me and for days picked fleas off me. This developed into a ritual where to this day I lay in her arms while she combs through my hair. I have her trained very well and she responds upon demand! I get away with a lot because I am deaf, I don't even have to pretend I don't hear her! I taught mom sign language but I only pay attention at dinner time. She holds up the can and waves her fingers at me. This is the only time she gets me to do anything!
I wish I had a more dignified name to go with the title of Prince but I have never heard my name anyway!
Harley: I pamper myself. I am not of an age yet to where I appreciate being fussed over. I am way too busy playing and getting into trouble. I am so cute and funny that I never get yelled at! Can you believe that as cute as I am I was dumped and I cried and cried in a nice ladies backyard. I made myself look especially adorable and sat in the flower garden looking hungry and sad and just as I thought, she took me in and has been catering to my every need since then! I am one year old now and it is time to settle down as a Pampered Prince!
Jazpurr: Mom found me at a vet's office. I had been left between the
doors in a 4 inch space. The doctor there didn't do anything for my broken leg, ear mites and didn't give me shots or nuttin'. Mom found this out and pestered them and finally threatened to report them for abuse and they let me go home with her. She carried me around on a pillow until the day I could have sugery, bought me an orthopedic bed and lots of toys.After my surgery she felt so sorry for me that I got tons of attention. Now I have the stitches out and the cast off and we are just waiting for the pins to come out in 2 or 3 months. By then I will be an old man of 6 or 7 months! I have it real good here, I have 5 cat brothers and 4 cat sisters and a canine sister and brother too! Everyone likes me and I am taking advantage of it. Someday when I am as good as new they might not think I am this sweet! teehee! |

I've gone from being a stray to being the CEO of this
whole place...I've got everything running my way! I've got several favorite sleeping places and my humans always make sure there's a soft towel wherever I choose. I like to keep them guessing so I now have beds everywhere! My favorite is a warm, heated bed in the winter. They tried a human heating pad and the fur on my belly fell out! It couldn't have been that
I spent too much time on it. They bought me a special heating pad for pampered pets and I'm so content (and my fur stays where it belongs).

Momma's "Little" Baby

Precious: My daddy hold my like a baby and lets me play with the chain hanging down from the ceiling fan. My daddy feeds me by hand. Plus I get fresh milk every morning for breakfast.
Smokee: My loyal subjects' take me to the pet supermarket and put me in the shopping cart so I may select my food and toys. (and of course get lots of attention from other subjects).

Anita: Makes my daddy play 'disc shooter' with me until I am tired. Now this could last for a very long time because dad has to keep picking up all the discs from around the house to re-load.
Missy Bright Eyes: Lets me be in charge of the living room in the evening. This means I get to chase all my siblings out of there until mom and dad go to bed. This also means I get my daddy all to myself.
Roger: Doesn't touch me.
Lilly: Feeds me, Feeds me, Feeds me, Feeds me and Feeds me some more!

I have trained my loyal subject to pamper me in many ways, but this required some extra work. Whenever I feel I need some extra attention or playtime I just bite her ankle, if that does not produce results I apply stronger tactics like attacking her calf or trying to pull her pantleg. That always works and I feel assured of my position as Top Prince around here.
P.S. Not to worry, I don't bite hard, I know I am pampered and my Human takes good care of me.

Brownie: I make my owner put down her cross stitch after I successfully covers her floss in my cat spit. Whenever she sits down to work on her cross stitch, I take that as an invitation to jump up on her lap and demand to be petted and become the sole focus of her attention.
Ashes: I expect to be petted on demand and to be let outside and back in the house on demand. I still haven't been able to convince my owners yet to let me out after dark. I also sit on the top shelf of the computer desk whenever they attempt to do anything on the computer. If I am ignored long enough, I will jump down, walk across the keyboard and jump on their lap, making typing almost impossible. What a life!!!
