Meows everyone! To celebrate Easter, we have are having a contest!
It's a very easy contest-we have filled Hope's (aka "The Babycat") dish with jelly beans and took a photo of it. All you have to do is guess how many jelly beans are in the dish!
The kitty guessing the correct amount (or the one who guesses closest without going over the true amount) will win a very special surprise Easter gift package courtesy of Hope (and the Easter Bunny)!
In the advent of a tie, the winner will be chosen in a random drawing.
This contest will end at midnight, April 15th (EST).
Only one guess per kitty, please.
(If there is more than one feline in your home, you may each take a guess)
Below is the photo-

Don't worry, kitties, I did not eat any of the jelly beans, I know they are not good for kitties. But I did have a good time chasing a few of them across the floor.
Purrs...
Princess Hope
>^..^<PS-Here is a couple of hints for you, my dish is about 3 inches tall and about 5 1/2 inches wide, and there is less than 400 jelly beans.
The Contest is over!We want to thank all the kitties for participating, over 100 of you made your best guess, but nobody guessed exactly right...teehee.
The actual amount of jellybeans were 202. CON-CAT-U-LATIONS to Calvin from Calvin and Sabrina's Meowy World, and Katie from Creatures of Zelda Moon, the winners in Hope's Easter Contest, these two kitties came the closest with guesses of 201.

Speaking of things that are not good for kitties, I feel like I should give my yearly lecture about Easter safety.
(Kitties, go get your humans to read this, please)
- Cellophane Easter grass-
PLEASE be extremely careful with cellophane easter grass! I cannot stress this enough. The grass is very enticing to cats and they cannot digest it. And to make matters worse, it's very hard to clean up, the single stands are almost transparent and very staticy and can cling to anything. If swallowed, it can be extremely dangerous and even fatal. Don't just assume your cat will "pass it" if swallowed. Truthfully, I shudder each time I see it on the store shelves, knowing that somewhere, there will be cats and dogs who will ingest it this holiday and and their humans may not seek quick veterinary care. A much safer alternative is the shredded tissue paper for Easter Baskets. You can easily find it in many stores.
- Easter Lillies-
They are beautiful, but deadly to cats. They are extremely, extremely poisonious. We personally know of a kitty that nibbled on one and was poisoned. It only takes a couple bites. Her human immediately got her to a vet but she still did not recover. Please do not allow your cats to come into contact with a Easter Lily. It's just safer not to bring any into the house.
Please have a happy and safe Easter!
